Darren Kay
B.Bus., LL.B., F.C.A., J.P.
Darren is a Chartered Accountant with experience in chartered accounting practices and taxation ranging back to late 1983. He has been a partner at FMK since 1992. He began his professional career as an undergraduate accountant with FMK at the completion of the Higher School Certificate, studying a Bachelor of Business Degree part time at the University of Western Sydney. In the semester prior to his graduation, Darren was offered and accepted a position as a senior taxation consultant with "big 4" chartered accounting firm, Arthur Young (now Ernst & Young).
Darren graduated from his degree in 1988 and was awarded a Bachelor of Business Degree with a major in accounting and a sub-major in law. Immediately upon graduation, Darren commenced the rigorous Professional Year program run by the Australian Institute of Chartered Accountants. In the taxation module of the professional year program, Darren scored the second highest mark in Australia and consequently, was awarded a Certificate of Merit.
In 1990, Darren was admitted as an Associate of the Institute of Chartered Accountants. Whilst undertaking the Professional Year, Darren was also enrolled in the University of Technology, Sydney, Bachelor of Laws program. Darren graduated from this course in December 1994. In May 2001, Darren was upgraded to the status of "Fellow" of the Institute of Chartered Accountants.
James Benzie
Senior Manager - B.Com., C.A.
James is a Chartered Accountant with a vast amount of experience in business services. He is a vital part of the practice and is highly valued by all of his clients, with a very extensive knowledge of the law and IT systems. Academically, James has excelled and achieved the Merit list in all three technical modules of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Professional Year. This award is granted to those who reach the top five percent in the country in the module undertaken.
Giovanna D'Brozario
Audit Manager - B.Acc., C.A.
Giovanna has played an key role in the development of Fleming Moynihan & Kay's assurance and audit specialisation and now is the manager of their Audit team. Her audit experience and expertise ranges from non-profit to multi-national organisations across a wide range of industries, including travel, insurance, manufacturers and, of course, statutory audit. Prior to commencing with Fleming, Moynihan & Kay, Giovanna's experience included employment in the tax division of an international company and the middle market advisory section of KPMG Chartered Accountants.
Rebecca Eames
Audit Manager - B.App.Fin, B.Comm., C.A.
Since joining the practice in 2002, Rebecca has developed her knowledge and skills and has become a valued member of Fleming Moynihan & Kay. Through sound experience in business services at the practice, Rebecca decided to follow her strength and moved into the audit division. Rebecca has progressed into an audit manager and controls the practice's major audit undertakings. She has also developed an expertise in complex accounting issues including preparing accounts in international format. She is a Chartered Accountant and also holds a Bachelors double degree from Macquarie University. Rebecca is renowned for her dedication and diligence and as result spends copious hours resolving issues and achieving the right results for her clients.
Richelle O'Donnell
Manager - Adv Dip Acc
Richelle is the Manager of the practice's Superannuation division. She has been integral in the quality of this specialised division and has built an excellent rapport with Fleming Moynihan & Kay's clients. Recently Richelle's role was expanded to include general business services and taxation. Her experience in superannuation, and her diligence and dedication have enabled her to adapt into this expanded role with ease and she has developed into a highly proficient general practitioner. Richelle has completed an advanced diploma of accounting and is currently in the final stages of a Bachelor of Business degree with a major in accounting, at the University of Western Sydney.
Paul Fameron
Business Services Manager - B.Bus
Paul is a graduate of the University of Western Sydney who holds a Bachelor of Business degree with a major in accounting. His experience in tax and business services garnered since embarking on his career as a Cadet Accountant in January 2003 have enabled him to progress into the Business Services Manager role he currently fulfils at Fleming Moynihan & Kay since joining the firm in 2008. As well as managing the business services arm of the practice, Paul also trains and provides support to the firm's undergraduate accountants. At present, Paul is in the process of completing the Institute of Chartered Accountants Program.
Chris Brown
Trainee Accountant
Chris has completed a diploma of Commerce from the Sydney Institute of Business and Technology and is currently studying towards a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting at Macquarie University. Chris began working at Fleming Moynihan & Kay in January 2007 as a trainee accountant. His role includes the preparation of income tax returns and financial statements for business entities, superannuation funds and individuals.
Amanda Jakins
Trainee Accountant
Amanda began her career in January 2006 as a trainee accountant at Ernst & Young in their Audit division for Mining, Energy and Minerals where she gained experience in a range of audit projects and assignments. Amanda is currently studying a Bachelor degree in Business majoring in Accounting and Finance, at the University of Technology. Amanda's role at Fleming Moynihan & Kay is in the audit division where she works closely with Rebecca Eames to complete statutory and non statutory financial statements audits, internal audits and compliance audits.
Annie Ausage
Operations Manager
Annie began her career with the practice in March 2007 as an Executive Assistant, and was rapidly promoted to Operations Manager in September 2008. Annie is responsible for the daily management of the practice including providing administrative support to the accounting team and a high level of customer service to Fleming Moynihan & Kay's clients. Annie has strong administrative background and she brings over 10 years of office management experience to her role at Fleming Moynihan & Kay.
Heather Wheatley
Receptionist
Heather has become an integral part of the Fleming Moynihan & Kay team during her 10 years as Receptionist. Heather enjoys her role and is passionate about providing outstanding customer service. She has an in depth knowledge of Fleming Moynihan & Kay's clients and is always friendly and willing to help with any enquiry.
